Energy-efficiency for 2030 or later

In Short

Authorities are hesitant to impose energy-efficiency products, which would incur higher prices for the people.

A Few Details

Rich countries are only promising strict legislation by 2030 or later, but not much for now. For example, coal power plants should be retired by 2030 or later. Meanwhile, the rest of the world (China…) is still building coal power plants. Eventually, full phasing out of fossil fuels is announced by 2050. They will only be credible after hitting their short-term intermediate targets.
