Burgeoning green mass market?

Despite the help from subsidies, prices have not yet gone down enough to create a mass market, aside from niche products for the green elites (e.g., Tesla cars or solar panels for home owners).

Currently, governments are reluctant to enforce punishing strategies
as it would hurt the job market and the poor, and as it would lead to loose the elections.

The hope is that, in the near future, green products keep going down, as production scales up, and soon compete with dirty products without subsidies. Maybe, it will happen? Will it happen exponentially, even among the angry middle class and the poor?
