Renewable electricity generated on corporate premises
Corporations and businesses must be encouraged to alleviate their demand from power plants by producing electricity locally with solar panels on their roofs or wind turbines on their property.
Corporations must be allowed to resell their electricity excess to the grid during production peaks, as storing electricity in local batteries remains costly. The authorities must find ways to upgrade their electricity grid to become a “Smart Grid” with billing considering inflows and outflows of electricity.
This local electricity generation would lower the need for electrical transmission over an expensive “Super Grid” to be built by utilities to reach their large and remote renewable power plants.
