Green high-tech for rich and poor countries
Developing new green tech or new green infrastructure is expensive, more expensive than digging for coal or gas.
Rich countries already saturated the skies with GHG emissions and can’t just prevent poor countries to burn their coal reserves. Poor countries, including China or India, demand compensations and expect help to build their own green energy infrastructure.
Rich countries must invest massively to develop such new technologies and infrastructures, after having burned cheap hydrocarbons for centuries.
In fact, rich countries have already promised to help poor countries to transition to green energies.
